David
Vaughan
David is a native Tulsan who attended
Monte Cassino Grade School and Cascia Hall Preparatory High
School. After high school he attended Oklahoma State University
where he attained his Bachelor of Science Degree from the School
of Business with a major in Marketing.
Straight out of college David began his insurance
career in 1982 as a Casualty Underwriter with the Aetna Life
& Casualty. After only one year working at the Aetna he
attained the title of Senior Casualty Underwriter. He remained
in this position for one more year and was then promoted to
Senior Marketing Representative. David remained in this position
for approximately another two years before leaving the insurance
company side of operations and becoming and independent agent.
While working with Aetna David attended two educational courses
in Hartford, Connecticut. The first course lasting 8 weeks and
the second lasting 13 weeks straight. David graduated with the
highest honors offered in both courses.
In early 1987 David joined the highly
esteemed Tulsa insurance agency Rich & Cartmill, Inc., which
has been established since 1922. After five years with Rich
& Cartmill, Inc., David was voted to become a partner with
the firm where he has remained as such until early 2007 when
he left to create and start The Vaughan Insurance Group, LLC.
During his tenure with Rich & Cartmill,
Inc., David became very successful and specialized in the writings
of such business's as General Contractor's, Trade Contractor's,
Trade Unions, Oil & Gas Industry, Manufacturing, Professional
Liability for all trades and Association Program Business. Today
David provides all lines of coverage to over 8 different associations
throughout the country which include Regulatory Affairs, Clinical
Trials, Erosion and Sediment Control, Mining and Mineralogy,
Occupational Safety and Health Training, and Waste Water Management
just to name a few and looks to expand this field in the years
to come.
David is married to his life partner
and business partner Lisa, who is an equal owner of the Vaughan
Insurance Group. Their family attends Christ The King Parish.
The family is very much involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters
of Oklahoma as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
They also are involved with their local Meals on Wheels program
where everyone in the family participates. Together, David and
Lisa have three terrific children, David, Michael and Sara.
Each of which is currently or will be shortly attending college,
high school and middle school. So, if there is any doubt, please

When not practicing insurance David enjoys
relaxing with his family and three dogs watching a St. Louis
Cardinals baseball game. Other activities include golf, golf,
golf and sometimes fishing. Ever known an insurance person who
